A repellent for preventing birds such as doves from building their nests around a building is provided to maximize the repellent effects on possible nestling places without having to use a great amount. A repellent(10) is an adhesive, natural composition stimulating the senses of touch, taste, smell, and pain. The repellent(10) in the form of a lump is 3-6 cm in diameter and 0.5-1 cm in thickness. For areas like the floor(F) of a veranda or a veranda railing(H), the repellents(10) are placed in small cases, so that people is protected from getting dirt by the repellent. For the top of the veranda railing(H), a coil(20) is installed instead of using the repellent(10). To install the coil(20), a hook(22) is connected to an L-shaped iron frame(24).
