An apparatus and a method for writing a panorama image and a recording medium capable of being read by a computer which records an image writing program are provided to use computer resources effectively by using operation data generated in the moving picture preparation. A panorama writing unit(S520) includes a device(a1) for calculating a moving vector for two or more images, a device(a2) for calculating space frequencies of one or more images, a still picture index writing device for writing an index on the basis of position data of an image, a memorizing device, and an initial panorama still picture writing device for synthesizing object images on the basis of the index and generating an initial panorama image. A moving vector monitoring unit(S540) detects that the calculated moving vector is higher than a threshold value. A space frequency monitoring unit(S542) detects that the calculated space frequency is lower than the threshold value. Differential still picture writing units(S550,S552) acquire the object images on the basis of the detected results of the moving vector monitoring unit and the space frequency monitoring unit, and write a different still picture.
