<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lithium battery superior in storage characteristics in which reduction of discharge of lithium from a negative electrode is prevented since a lithium surface at the negative electrode is covered by vanadium dissolved from β-VOPO<SB>4</SB>of a positive electrode during storage, and in which rise in internal resistance during storage is suppressed in the lithium battery in which β-VOPO<SB>4</SB>is used as an active material of the positive electrode. <P>SOLUTION: In the lithium battery provided with the positive electrode 1, the negative electrode 2, and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution in which a solute is dissolved in a nonaqueous solvent, β-VOPO<SB>4</SB>was used as the active material of the positive electrode and a lithium alloy containing at least aluminum was used as the active material of the negative electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
