<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the energy quantity of a lithium secondary battery and to increase its cycle life. <P>SOLUTION: In this nonaqueous secondary battery comprising a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode material and a nonaqueous electrolyte, the positive electrode active material is a lithium-containing transition metal oxide; and the negative electrode material is a compound containing silicon atoms capable of inserting and releasing lithium. The nonaqueous secondary battery is characterized by using a negative electrode composed by dispersing and mixing the compound containing silicon atoms by a liquid without substantially containing water, thereafter applying it to a collector and drying it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
