<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable printer device which is assembled with improved assembly efficiency by individually assembling driving systems, and combining the individually assembled driving systems with each other. <P>SOLUTION: The portable printer device allows recording paper to be fed into/discharged from a front surface of a portable printer device main body 11, and is formed of: an ink ribbon cassette insertion opening 17 formed in one side surface of a chassis; a recording paper carrying mechanism driving means and an ink ribbon driving means arranged on the other side surface of the chassis; a control circuit board for controlling the driving operations; and a cover 18 for the ink ribbon cassette insertion opening, formed in one side surface of a main body sheathing section and arranged so as to be opposed to the ink ribbon cassette insertion opening.
