PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely and surely grasp the situation whether a printer is placed in an unstable condition or not. SOLUTION: The printer includes a printing section for printing an image on a print medium, a housing for accommodating and holding the printing section, a leg section for supporting the housing, and a sensor provided to the leg section and outputting a signal different between a non-grounding state or a grounding state of the leg section.
