The mechanism according to the invention generates a displacement of the tip of e.g. the hour hand (10) of a clock, from the uniform rotational displacement of e.g. the hour rod (1), said displacement following the edge of a face that is for example quadrangular and/or of a display dial of this type. To achieve this, the hour rod (1) bears a rotary plate (2), on which four rollers (11) are rotatably mounted to radially guide a carriage (9), which engages around the hour rod (1) by means of a slot (13). The rotary plate (2) bears a rotatably mounted gear wheel (4), which meshes with an inner crown gear (3) and supports a guide pin (5). A rocker (6) that is mounted to pivot about the hour rod (1) is provided at one end with a longitudinal slot (15) for receiving the guide pin (5) and at the other end with a rotatably mounted second gear wheel (7), which is the same size as the first gear wheel (4) and which likewise meshes with the inner crown gear (3). Said second gear wheel bears a guide pin (8) that engages with a cut-out section (14) in the carriage (9). A pin (12) on the carriage guides the tip of the display element (10). |
