The method involves determining two humidity results that indicate humidities, which are associated with ambient air and exhaust gas, respectively. A third humidity result is determined, and characterizes and/or indicates suction air that is guided to an inlet collecting pipe (16) of an engine (12). A dew point is determined, where the dew point characterizes and/or indicates the suction air and a pressure that characterizes and/or indicates the suction air. An independent claim is also included for a virtual dew point sensor for a motor system. |
