A voltage control circuit for a 3 phase alternator comprises a thyristor 5, connected to one of the A.C. windings, controlling the current through the field winding (unreferenced), the return path being through one of the rectifier bridge diodes. The set point may be varied by a potentiometer 12 having a thermistor 14 connected as shown. In another arrangement Fig. 2 (not shown) an NPN transistor (8)' is substituted for the PNP type 8. An indicator lamp (27) Fig. 3 (not shown) controlled by a transistor (19) may be incorporated in the circuit.</p> |
