<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid scan type optical writing device which can achieve a good tone repeatability by making an output light quantity same irrespective of the amount of an optical shutter element driven simultaneously. <P>SOLUTION: By the solid scan type writing device, a plurality of optical shutter elements with an electro-optical effect are juxtaposed in the main scan direction, and a light radiated from LED is modulated by ON/OFF of the optical shutter element, and then an image is formed on a photosensitive material. LED as a light source is turned on after the optical shutter element is turned on. The exposure of a predetermined low tone domain (L tone domain) and the exposure of other high tone domains are distributed with time, and then the exposure of the low tone domain is arranged after the exposure of the high tone domain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
