PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a developing roller capable of ensuring high printing performance for a long period of time by removing factors for degradation in printing performance due to the developing roller. SOLUTION: In the cross-sectional shape of the developing roller 1, an elastic layer 3 is disposed around a conductive shaft (core body) 2, an intermediate layer 6 is disposed on the periphery, and a surface layer 7 is formed for an outermost layer. The 100%-modulus of a resin or the like which composes the surface layer 7 is 5 MPa or below, preferably 4 MPa or below. The 100%-modulus of the intermediate layer is preferably 5 MPa or below. This makes toner less likely to stick to the surface of the developing roller 1. Accordingly, toner deterioration is restrained when the developing roller 1 is used. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
