PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device devised to obtain vehicle characteristics easy to drive. SOLUTION: A front gazing point position of a driver is estimated or detected (100), the vehicle characteristics are set (102) so that a time constant included in a transfer function to express responsiveness of a yaw rate against steering wheel manipulated variable of the driver becomes longer as the distance to the front gazing point position becomes longer based on the estimated or detected front gazing point position, and the vehicle is controlled (104, 106) so as to provide the set vehicle characteristics.
