PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autofocus (AF) system constituted so that the operation system of an AF area operation part is easily varied to user's taste or the like by making the AF area operation part replaceable with an AF area operation part of a desired operation system if the position of an AF area set as a focusing object by AF can be varied by the operation of the AF area operation part. SOLUTION: The AF area operation part 110 equipped with an operation member for designating the position of the AF area is attachably/detachably attached to a focus demand 26 connected to a lens device 12. The AF area operation part 110 can be replaced with an AF operation part of an operation system where a track ball or a switch or the like is used in addition to an operation system where a joy stick 100 is used.
