PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a short circuit function of a terminal and an electric fitting detecting function by achieving downsizing of a connector and with high reliability. SOLUTION: A short-terminal 50 to short circuit mutual male terminals 20 is mounted on a male housing 30. The short-terminal 50 is composed of a pair of terminal pieces 51U, 51D, and a switch part 85 is formed by installing a fixed contact piece 57 at one and a movable contact piece 58 at the other which is elastically contacted with and separated from this, and the fitting detecting circuit in which this short-terminal 50 is interposed is constituted. When both housings 10, 30 are normally fitted, a lock member 11 is restored, displaced and engaged with and locked to a locked part 40, and in addition since the lock member 11 pushes a pressed plate 64 and bends the movable contact piece 58, the switch part 85 is cut off. By this, short circuit between the male terminals 20 is released, the fitting detecting circuit is cut off, and electrical fitting detection is carried out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
