摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection device capable of detecting object position, using a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A point light source 1 outputs continuous spectrum light, and the light enters prisms 21, 22 via a slit 11. The slit 11 separates mutually each light entering the prisms 21, 22. Each light, entering the prisms 21, 22 is spectrally diffracted into each spectrum by the prisms 21, 22 and an object 100, is irradiated with each light flux 201, 202 from a plurality of directions. The reflected light of the light flux 201, reflected by the object 100, is received by a light receiving part 31, and reflected light of the light flux 201 reflected by the object 100 is received by a light-receiving part 32. The light-receiving parts 31, 32 are equipped with two phototransistors 301, 302 respectively, and convert light into a current. Wavelength calculation parts 41, 42 measure the wavelengthsλ1,λ2 of each reflected light, from the ratio between each of the output current value. Since each refractive index of the prisms 21, 22 is different according to the wavelength, a coordinate calculation part 6 detects the position of the object 100 from the intersection point in that direction.
