META-TYPE AROMATIC POLYAMIDE FIBER HAVING EXCELLENT FLAME RETARDANCY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide fiber having improved flame retardancy. SOLUTION: The meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide fiber having improved flame retardancy comprises 0.1-10 pts.wt. of a layered clay mineral based on the meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide weight and has a remaining solvent amount of≤1.0 wt.%. When the meta-type wholly aromatic polyamide fiber is mixed with a layered clay mineral, the wholly aromatic polyamide fiber having an excellent flame-retardant effect is obtained even without a flame retarder as the result of improvement in desolvation effect from a coagulated yarn and a residual solvent of≤1%.
