PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection control method or the like of an injection molding machine which can produce a molded object of a stable quality with a narrow weight variation and correctly distinguish a defective product, with a narrow weight variation of the residue. SOLUTION: In the injection control method comprising a plasticizing measurement process and an injection process, the rotation of a screw 3 is stopped when the molding compound reaches a measurement completion position, and a back-flow checking ring mechanism 2 is closed by making a higher pressure P2 than a back pressure P1 act on the mechanism 2 through advancing the screw 3 by driving an injection servo motor 8. Further, after that, a rotation servo motor 4 is driven while the action of the pressure P2 is effected to reverse the screw 3 by a specified level and thus, the internal pressure p1 of the screw 3 is reduced to zero or a pressure level p2 infinitely close to zero. Following these procedures, the pressure of a molten resin accumulated forward of a heating cylinder 1, is lowered to the pressure level P3 which does not allow removal of the closing of the back-flow checking ring mechanism 2 and is infinitely close to zero from the pressure P2. And as such, the position of the screw 3 when reduced to the pressure P3 is retained and allowed to remain in that position upto the starting time of the injection process.
