The invention relates to a protection device for protecting a liquid in a container (4) having a neck (3) from the ambient atmosphere. The inventive device includes a discoidal element (12) and support means comprising: a tubular body (1) which can be fitted in the neck (3) of the container and which is provided with an upper axial opening (8) which is open below the neck, a movable plug (1) for the opening (8), and a guide rod (11) which is supported axially by the body (1). The above-mentioned discoidal element (12) is pierced centrally, such that it can slide freely on the rod. In addition, said element (12) is made from an elastically-deformable material having a density of less than that of the liquid. In this way, the discoidal element (12) can rest on the surface of the liquid and move with same as the level of the liquid in the container varies. |
