The device has a rotatable brush attached to applying areas of a manufacturing device in a specific position. The brush has a trapezoidal cross section, and has a bunch of hydrophilic bristles (36) defined and spaced apart from each other for cleaning the areas. The bristles are arranged to have a star shape in a rotational axis of the brush. A set of bristles (37) is provided between the bristles (36), where the rotatable brush rests against an inner side of side guiding devices such as flyers, which are connected with transportation belts. An independent claim is also included for a brush for a separating agent applying device.
