<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method capable of eliminating the possibility of the cracking of a block-shaped dry ice in the device and the method for manufacturing a block-shaped dry ice by pressurizing a plurality of pellet-shaped dry ices. <P>SOLUTION: The device 10 includes a chamber 12 made from a base 22 having a frame 16 constituting a side wall 23 and a part 24 constituting a bottom wall. The base also has a part 25 extended from the part constituting the bottom wall in a horizontal direction. The side wall of the chamber is moved to a vertical direction after the completion of the pressurizing of the dry ice and at least one side wall of the manufactured block-shaped dry ice 19 becomes in a state completely exposed from the side wall, and the dry ice is slipped on the base and moved horizontally and discharged to the part extended from the part constituting the bottom wall of the chamber. Consequently, the possibility of the cracking of the dry ice is eliminated and the block-shaped dry ice having a relatively large size (for example, weight of 25 kg) can be manufactured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
