<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocoupler capable of improving precision in signal transmission. <P>SOLUTION: The photocoupler 1 includes a semiconductor laser element 2, a semiconductor light-receiving element 3, a protective member 4, a reflection film 5, a light pipe 6, and electrodes 7, 8 and 9. The light pipe 6 is made of a resin, is of a rectangular parallelepiped, and is formed to encircle the outer periphery of the semiconductor light-receiving element 3. A recession 6a of a partial square conical shape tapering toward the semiconductor light-receiving element 3 is formed in the center of the upper face of the light pipe 6. The reflection film 5 is formed as a partial conical surface tapering toward the semiconductor light-receiving element 3 on the side face of the recession 6a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
