<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of matching the top and bottom of paper and the top and bottom of an image when forming the image on reusable paper (RP) or other paper to which top-and-bottom information is imparted, forming an image that can be easily de-inked from RP with the image formed thereon, and forming an image easy to watch even on RP being used iteratively. <P>SOLUTION: A digital copier 1 is capable of forming an image even on RP 900 with a character indication 904a or the like is formed in an image formation inhibited area 902. The copier 1 comprises, in addition to an image forming means (S9) for forming an image on the RP 900 on the basis of read image data, a paper top-and-bottom discriminating means (S6) for discriminating the top-and-bottom direction of the RP 900 to be fed, and an image data rotating means (S8) for rotationally converting image data so that the top-and-bottom direction of the image is matched with the top-and-bottom direction of the RP 900. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
