<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ticket gate that provides a wide range of communication (coverage) to noncontact IC cards while achieving power savings. <P>SOLUTION: When an information recoded medium consisting of an IC card having a radio communication function is placed over an antenna part provided in the body of the automatic ticket gate or when the antenna part is touched, the automatic ticket gate performs a predetermined entry/exit process based on predetermined data recorded in the information recording medium. The antenna part has a plurality of antennas provided in the body of the automatic ticket gate along the same direction as the direction of passage of a gate passage. The antennas are controlled and driven by an antenna drive means for selectively driving the antennas according to detection signals of a detector for detecting the information recording medium placed over or touching the antenna part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
