METHOD FOR MEASURING SENSITIVITY OF PULMONARY CANCER TO EPIDERMAL GROWTH FACTOR RECEPTOR-TYROSINE KINASE INHIBITOR AND METHOD FOR SCREENING PULMONARY CANCER TREATING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating the sensitivity of pulmonary cancer to epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) by finding a marker usable as an indicator of the reactivity to EGFR-TKI and using the marker as an indicator, and provide a new screening method for pulmonary cancer treating agent by using the marker as an indicator.

SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for measuring the sensitivity or sensibility of pulmonary cancer to EGFR-TKI. The expression of a metastasis-associated gene 1 (MTA1) in the pulmonary cancer cell or tissue to be examined is detected and the sensitivity or sensibility is judged by using the expression degree of the detected MTA1 as an index. The method for screening a pulmonary cancer treating agent comprises the culture of a pulmonary cancer cell in the presence of a candidate substance of EGFR-TKI, and measuring the expression degree of MTA1 in the pulmonary cancer to judge whether the candidate substance has a pulmonary cancer cell suppressing action or not.
