PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method for obtaining favorable and stable cleaning property. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic image forming method, an electrostatic latent image is formed on a photoreceptor, and after developing the electrostatic latent image by using toner, the toner image is transferred onto a medium and fixed to obtain a visible image, wherein the average circularity of the toner is 0.95 or more; the volume average particle size of the toner is 7.0μm or less, and a cleaning blade made of a rubber elastic material is used to eliminate a transfer residual toner on the photoreceptor from the photoreceptor. The cleaning blade is formed of polyurethane as a main raw material, and has a tanδof 0.15 or less, and a tanδof at least the outermost surface layer of the photoreceptor is 3.5×10<SP>-2</SP>or less.
