PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position adjusting mechanism whose constitution volume is small and which can easily adjust the horizontal rotation of a main body and up-and-down inclination and right-and-left inclination of an angle of elevation without restricting the internal constitution of a device main body. SOLUTION: When the position adjusting mechanism 5 coupled with the lower surface of the device body is put on a placing table, a high-frictional member 15 arranged at the front part hardly moves from the placing table. Sliding supporting leg members 17 arranged right and left at the rear part can freely slide on the placing table. The semicircular arc-shaped gear 22 of a supporting base 6 is driven and turned in both normal and reverse directions by the driving system of an adjusting part 9, and the supporting base 6 is turned right and left with respect to the adjusting part 9, that is, consequently with a turning supporting part 13 as a fulcrum with respect to the placing table. The high-frictional member 15 advances and retreats downward outside from the opening part 16 of a cover 8 by a first turning arm 31 and a second turning arm 33 so as to vary the angle of elevation of the supporting base 6. The sliding parts 18 of the sliding supporting leg members 17 right and left at the rear part are driven and rotated by a rack driving system so as to advance and retreat up and down in an opposite direction respectively so as to adjust the right-and-left inclination of the supporting base 6.
