PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cases that grease oozes out to a connection part of an outer ring and a boot and friction coefficient between each member of the connection part of the outer ring and the boot drops, and that force relatively rotating the outer ring and the boot in a circumference direction gets larger than friction force acting between each member of the connecting part of the outer ring and the boot and the connecting part of the outer ring and the boot loosen up and the outer ring and the boot relatively rotate. SOLUTION: The constant velocity universal joint has an opening part of the boot installed on the outer circumference surface of the outer ring and has a boot band installed on the opening part of the boot. A depression is formed on the outer circumference surface of the outer ring in a part where the boot band is installed and a projection fitting in the depression is provided on the inner circumference surface of the boot.
