PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starting control device for an internal combustion engine, which prevents the rapid start from being hindered, with protecting a starting mechanism in a vehicle equipped with a clutch mechanism. SOLUTION: The starting control device 40 of the engine 1 is mounted on the vehicle equipped with a clutch 20 to arbitrarily connect or disconnect the driving force transmitted from a clutch shaft 2 to a driving system, and started by cranking with a starter motor. The starting control device 40 of the engine 1 judges whether or not the driving force is started to transmit from the crank shaft 2 into the driving system with the clutch 20. On the condition that the driving force is started to transmit in cranking by a starter motor 1, the device makes the starter motor 11 stop driving. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
