When a request to promote cooling of the battery is issued (A/C air suction mode request), battery cooling ability (W1) in the indoor air suction mode is estimated based on both an indoor temperature Tin and vehicle speed V (noise caused by traveling), battery cooling ability (W2) in the A/C air suction mode is estimated based on an air conditioner blowout temperature Tac, vehicle speed V, and A/C air flow rate Qac as an air flow rate requested to the air conditioner (S140-S170), and a cooling mode having a greater cooling ability is selected.
