A cathode catalyst, and a membrane-electrode assembly and a fuel cell system including the same are provided to exhibit good selectivity together with excellent activity to reduction of an oxidant, and to improve performances of the fuel cell system. A cathode catalyst for a fuel cell comprises a carbon-based material and A-B-N supported on the carbon-based material. In the A-B-N, A is at least one element selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and Mn, which is contained in an amount of 70-90 atom%, B is at least one element selected from the group consisting of S, Se and Te, which is contained in an amount of 2-5 atom% and N is contained in an amount of 5-18 atom%. The A-B-N is supported in an amount of 5-70 wt% based on the total weight of the catalyst. A membrane-electrode assembly includes a cathode(5) comprising the cathode catalyst(53), an anode(3) opposed to the cathode, and a polymer electrolytic membrane(1) disposed between the cathode and the anode. |
