摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode capable of improving electron conductivity of a negative electrode active material layer, and a battery using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode active material layer 21B includes Si as a constituent element, and includes ferromagnetic metal elements such as Fe, Ni, Co. At least a part of the ferromagnetic metal elements does not form a solid solution with Si and is segregated, and exists as a ferromagnetic metal. Thereby, the negative electrode active material layer 21B has magnetism, and by having the maximum intensity of magnetization obtained by magnetization curve of 0.0006 T or more, the electron conductivity of the negative electrode active material layer 21B can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
