PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make processing functions which are applicable to sheets visible and to easily perform processes corresponding to processing functions applicable to the sheets.

SOLUTION: The control method for controlling the image forming apparatus has a first display step in which a function reflecting icon indicating that a predetermined processing function of the image forming apparatus is applied to the sheets is displayed on an operation screen, a second display step in which a cancelling icon for cancelling the application of the processing function to the sheets is displayed on the operation screen, a first selection step (step S302) in which the processing function corresponding to the designated function reflecting icon is selected when it is designated by the function reflecting icon displayed on the operation screen and a cancelling step (step S306) in which application of the processing function selected in the first selection step to the sheets is cancelled when it is designated by the cancelling icon displayed on the operation screen (YES in step S305).
