PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halved mold for tire molding which can manufacture a high-performance tire, eradicate faults during vulcanization molding by preventing a tire from being nipped in during mold clamping and increase yield, and a tire manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A sliding unit mechanism 5 has a sliding plate 16, which ascends/descends horizontally through a plurality of guide rods 15, installed on the upper/lower surfaces of a sector 7. In addition, a slidable pin holder 18 connected swingably with the apex of a guide pin 13 through a pin 17, is slidably installed on the sliding plate 16, and a drive 4 which makes the sliding plate 16 ascend/descend along the guide rod 15, is installed on the frame 19 of the sliding unit mechanism 5. Thus, the elastic action of the pin holder 18 actuates the movement of the pin holder 18 to the right/left on the sliding plate 16 and the horizontal forward/backward movement of the sector 7 in the direction of a tire center along a guide means 8 collaborating with a segment 9.
