PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize operation when a communication device communicates with an external device via a network, and to improve security. SOLUTION: In the communication device 10 that can communicate with the external device 40 via an access point 20 to the network, a management service module 103 authorizes communication by a protocol stack 111 using the protocol of an upper hierarchy as compared with a data link layer and an upper application 101 while authentication processing by authentication application 102 succeeds (S109, S111). When the authentication processing by the authentication application 102 fails, the management service module 103 does not perform communication by the protocol stack 111 and the upper application 101 (S118, S119).
