PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set which can be used in a desk-installation state or in a wall-mounting state, and can adjust an angle of its body in either state. SOLUTION: The telephone set 1 is provided with a base 10, the body 20 tiltably coupled to the base 10 in a vertical plane, and an angle adjusting device 50 for adjusting a relative angle between the base 10 and the body 20. The base 10 enables the telephone set 1 to be used in the desk-installation state or the wall-mounting state where its bottom surface faces a wall. The body 20 is provided with an operating section 22 and a cradle section 23, and the cradle section 23 can hold a hand set 40 even if the angle of the body 20 is adjusted at any angle. In the hand set 40, a hole 43 is formed between a transmitter and receiver, and a rising portion 27 mated with the hole 43 to hold the hand set 40 is formed on the cradle section 23.
