PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detection device which is high in earthquake resistance and position precision of an electrode, and which is high in detection sensitivity, and to provide a photoelectron multiplier tube. SOLUTION: In a vacuum container 18 constituted by airtightly joining a light receiving face plate 13 on one side end part of a side tube 15 and a stem 50 via a ring shaped side tube 37 on the other side end part, from a photoelectric surface 14 side installed at the light receiving face plate 13, a focus electrode 17, dynodes Dy1 to Dy9, an anode 25, and the dynode Dy10 are arranged. The dynode Dy10 is supported on a spacer 33 and a protrusion 31 for positioning installed on the stem 50. The anode 25 is mounted on a support member 21. The focus electrode 17, the dynodes Dy1 to Dy9, and the anode 25 are mutually laminated via an interlayer body 23 coaxial with the support member 21, and high in the earthquake resistance. Since an insulating material is not interposed between the anode 25 and the dynode Dy10, light emission is suppressed, and noise reduction becomes possible. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
