PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary switch device strong against external noise without needing a threshold for identification of an output signal, and capable of abundantly providing outputs without being restricted by a small space. SOLUTION: A plurality of cam parts 28-30 are formed on the inside surface part of a rotated knob 24 by making their positions different from one another in the axial direction and the rotating direction of the rotation of the knob 24 and by projecting them in the radial direction of the rotation of the knob 24, and a plurality of switch bodies 31-33 turned on or off by pressing passive parts 35-37 in the radial direction of the rotation of the knob 24 by the cam parts 28-30, respectively, with the rotation of the knob 24 arranged inside the knob 24. In this rotary switch device, output signals are generated by turning on/off the switch bodies 31-33, and a threshold is not necessary for identifying the output signal, and the rotary switch device is strong against external noise. Assuming the number of the switch bodies 31-33 N, outputs can be abundantly provided without being restricted by a small space because 2Nkinds of output signals can be provided.
