PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device of a vending machine capable of lighting the inside of an exit for commodities or the like by means of a plurality of LED elements along the width direction of the vending machine, and of reducing manufacturing costs. SOLUTION: The mounting surface 20a of a base 20 is disposed to be approximately parallel to the direction of the bottom surface 40d of a commodity exit 40 and to extend in the width direction of the commodity exit 40. Also, the base 20 is capable of mounting a plurality of LED elements 10 thereon in such a way that their light-emitting surfaces 10a are placed approximately perpendicularly to the mounting surface 20a. Since the LED elements 10 mounted are arranged so that their light-emitting surfaces 10a face in different directions, the light from each LED element 10 is applied over a wide range along the direction of the mounting surface 20a of the base 20 and the inside of the commodity exit 40 can be illuminated by the LED elements 10 along the width direction.
