PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element of VA mode which can reduce striped luminance unevenness caused by that a rubbing cloth rubs an electrode. SOLUTION: A first electrode 6 is formed on a first substrate 1. Further, a second substrate 2 is opposed to the first substrate 1 and has a second electrode formed on a surface opposed to the first substrate 1. Further, a first wiring portion which sends a first driving signal driving a display section A to the first electrode 6 and a second wiring portion 13 sending a second driving signal driving the display section A to the second electrode 8 through conductive particles 11 are formed on the first substrate 1. A first alignment film 7 and a second alignment film 9 for vertical alignment are provided on the first electrode 6 and second electrode 8, and only the second alignment film 9 is rubbed.
