PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel for a camera, the lens barrel in which the crease of a flexible printed circuit board that is foldable inside the lens barrel is prevented from being damaged due to fatigue. SOLUTION: On a rectilinear cylinder 16, a motor 32 for focusing and first lens group 36 are mounted. A second lens group 13 and a shutter device are mounted on a frame body 10. A flexible printed circuit board FPC, for connecting the motor 32 to a power source, is of a folding type. Parts of deformable protective members 47 and 48, made of an elastic material, are attached to a flat plate F3 so as to be able to contact bent parts F6 and F7. Two flexible light-shielding plates 44 and 45, attached to a shutter cover plate 12, come into contact with the flat plate F3 from different directions, thereby improving the light-shielding effect of clearance holes provided to the frame body 10 and cover plate 12.
