PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the temperature measuring accuracy, because the measuring accuracy is degraded by an influence of a back wind occurring in exhausting pressure in measuring the regenerator temperature of an air heating furnace. SOLUTION: This air heating furnace brick measuring device comprises a protecting pipe 22 that radially penetrates a peripheral wall of a regenerator and has a penetration tip abutting on the outer peripheral surface of a regenerating brick 24, a temperature sensor 23 that is inserted into the protecting pipe 22 and has an insertion tip abutting on the outer peripheral surface of the regenerating brick 24, an insulating member 2 for covering the outer periphery of the protecting pipe 22, and a heat transfer member 1 that is filled into the tip of the protecting pipe 22, comes into contact with the tip of the temperature sensor 23, comes into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the regenerating brick 24 facing the tip opening of the protecting pipe 22, and transfers heat of the regenerating brick 24 to the temperature sensor 23.
