PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To re-activate an escalator facility by performing simple operation by a person other than a maintenance person having no key or a maintenance person in a building when the escalator facility is automatically stopped by an earthquake or the like. SOLUTION: After the earthquake or the like occurs and the escalator facility 2 is automatically stopped, when an emergency operation switch 16 and an emergency stop button 17 of an operation board mounted to the escalator facility 2 are simultaneously pushed, it is determined by a control device 3 that a re-activation condition is satisfied to re-start the operation of the escalator facility 2.
