The invention relates to a motor vehicle for transporting personnel, comprising a vehicle chassis on which a personnal housing is arranged. A detachable standard container (1) which is arranged on the vehicle chassis is used as a personnal housing and comprises reinforcement structures and additonal amouring. An entrance/exit is provided on the rear side and an emergency exit which can be closed, respectively by doors (4.1), is provided on the lateral wall. Seats which are not coupled to the container base are arranged in the inner chamber. The reinforcement structures comprise rib-shaped reinforcement profiles (3) which subdivide the lateral walls (1.4) into segments, in addition to gusset plates in the region of the base and roof and protective plates on the external sides of the container (1). A ladder (7) is arranged on the rear side (1.1) of the container (1) in the vicinity of the entrance/exit and said ladder can be lowered from an unused position to a working position. The seats oriented in the direction of travel are arranged in several rows one behind the other such that they can be displaced in a transversal manner in relation to the longitudinal direction from a mounted position wherein a passage is left between them, to a driving position in which the outer seats are arranged at a distance from the lateral wall (1.4) of the container (1).
