<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinged cap that excels in categorized disposal, prevents a score from being damaged when plugging is made, and ensures excellent tamper evident properties. <P>SOLUTION: The hinged cap consists of a cap body 1, and an upper lid 2 hinged to the upper end part of the tubular side wall 7 of the cap body 1 so as to be freely opened or closed via a hinge band 31. The tubular side wall 7 has a vertical score 53 extending downward along one side end part of the hinge band 31, and a sidewise score 55 extending horizontally from the other side end part of the hinge band 31 along the vicinity of the upper end of the tubular side wall 7. In the lower part of the tubular side wall 7, a skirt part 15 substantially uniform in thickness is formed. At the lower end of the internal face of the skirt part 15, an engagement projection 17 that engages with the external face of the container mouth is formed.
