PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of evaluating a code by considering the situation of a general radio propagation path; and to provide a method of evaluating the code, a radio communication system, a base station, and a mobile station.

SOLUTION: The code is evaluated by a step of calculating an auto-correlation function from a generated code, a step of calculating an evaluation reference value for determining the quality of the code based on the auto-correlation function and a weighting factor determined according to propagation delay time, and a step of determining the quality of the code based on the evaluation reference value.
