<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a rolled stock and a device for clamping a roll chock for obtaining the rolled stock excellent in dimensions and a shape by reversing rolling. <P>SOLUTION: The operation of the device for clamping the roll chock is started linking with the operation starting signal of a bender of a reversing rolling mill 1, and the chock is clamped by a large force of constraint until a preset time lapses.
