PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trimming method and a trimming device of a battery in which prevention of a short circuit in trimming is achieved. SOLUTION: This has a conveying process 13 to convey the battery 1 by positioning both electrode tabs 2, 3 protruding from the battery 1 covered by a laminate member 4 at least partly having conductivity at both sides of direction crossing the conveying direction of the conveying means 13 to convey the battery 1, and a trimming process of respectively and separately trimming both electrode tabs 2, 3 respectively by a pair of fittings 14A, 14B and 15A, 15B arranged at different positions in the conveying direction.
