PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of imaging a road state in the distance in the traveling direction as a view from a driving seat. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a present position detection part 11 detecting the present position, a map information storage part 12 storing map information, a route searching condition input part 13 for inputting a destination, a guide route calculation part 14 calculating a guide route from the present position to the destination, a foregoing distance acquisition part 15 acquiring the foregoing distance which is a distance from the present position to a spot used as a viewpoint position of three-dimensional map display, a viewpoint position control part 16 calculating a spot separated from the present position as long as the foregoing distance along the guide route as the viewpoint position of the three-dimensional map display, a three-dimensional conversion processing part 17 generating three-dimensional map data for plotting a three-dimensional map using the viewpoint position calculated by the viewpoint position control part as the viewpoint, and a display part 18 displaying the three-dimensional map based on the three-dimensional map data generated by the three-dimensional conversion processing part.
