摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring gear for starting an internal combustion engine capable of maintaining sufficient durability even if a void area is enlarged, and a torque transmission mechanism for starting the internal combustion engine using this ring gear for starting the internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The axial direction of a spoke 12g is set by being inclined at an angleαfrom the radial direction in the load F direction in starting. Thus, even if the area of a void 12f is enlarged, the spoke 12g sufficiently endures a component force Fa in the axial direction. Since a component force Fb in the axial direction easily causing a stress concentration is reduced by the extent of increasing the component force Fa, the spoke 12g endures even the component force Fb. The roundness of base parts 12h and 12i is reduced in round Ra1, Rb2 parts acting as a compressive force more than round Ra2, Rb1 parts where a load F acts as a tensile force.
