PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental whitener which exhibits an improved whitening effect. SOLUTION: The dental whitener is composed of a first pasty component in which a calcium-chelating agent and a thickener are mixed in a solvent and a second pasty component in which hydrogen peroxide and a complex of hydrogen peroxide and polyvinyl pyrrolidone are mixed in a solvent. Preferably, the first component contains a pH regulator controlling the pH of the component to be 7 to 10 and/or a catalyst activating the hydrogen peroxide in it. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
